Constance “Connie” (Craft) Evans-McQuern , 71, passed away Sunday Jan. 12, 2014 at her home in New Whiteland.

Connie was born July 6, 1942 in Indianapolis to the late David H. and Estel M. (Dorrell) Craft. She married Edward E. McQuern on July 18, 1987 in Whiteland; they were married for 26 years.

She was employed with the State of Indiana in the Indiana Department of Transportation as a permit coordinator, retiring in 2009 after 45 years of service.

Connie was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for 52 years. She was very active in the Boys Scouts of America, troop 615, in Whiteland. She enjoyed camping, gardening and scrap booking. She was a big Indiana University fan.

Survivors include her husband, Edward E. McQuern of New Whiteland, four children, Debra (Michael) Evans-Hazeltine of Whiteland, Derek J. (Wendy) Evans of Indianapolis, Lisa A. (Dan) Price of Ohio and Todd E. McQuern of Windfall, four grandchildren, Tyler C. Evans, Daniel M. and Caitlin M. Price, Tyler McQuern and a great-grandson, Yousef D. Price.
