Connie Van Graham, 57, of Elkhart and formerly of Muncie, died Wednesday (Nov. 4, 2009) in Noble County, as a result of a motor vehicle accident. He was born April 14, 1952, in Sikeston, Mo., to Woodrow and Thelma (Griffin) Graham.

Mr. Graham is survived by his mother; two sons, Benjamin and Nathan Graham, both of Muncie; one daughter, LaKeisha Graham of South Bend; one stepson, Jason (Angela) Smith of Houston; one stepdaughter, Amy (Matt) Tenney of Indianapolis; three sisters, Sally B. Williams and Sandra (Edward) Logan, both of Elkhart, and Miranda (David) Porter of Charlotte, N.C.; three brothers, Woodrow (Carolyn) Graham Jr., Cleo Graham and Pastor Willie (Diana) Graham, all of Elkhart; four grandchildren and other nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Charlie Graham.

Mr. Graham was a 1970 graduate of Elkhart High School, where he played football. He continued his education at Ellsworth Junior College, receiving an associate degree in art and competing on the wrestling team. He attended Ball State University. He worked at Colonial Bakery for 13 years and Exide Battery Corp. for eight years. He also worked at Midwest Towel Laundry, Northwest Fireworks, and Marshall’s Auto, all in Muncie. Mr. Graham was an associate minister at Faith Center for All Nations in Muncie and at his brother’s church.
