Connie Sue Taylor, 69, of Madrid, Iowa passed away June 28th, 2021 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her husband Dennis and her family.

Connie was born on March 12, 1952 to Harold and Marjorie Abel in Leon, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Dennis Taylor on June 10, 1995. Connie and Dennis created their loving home in Coon Rapids Minnesota and later, after retirement, relocated to Madrid Iowa to enjoy the simplicity of life and to be closer to family and friends.

Connie was a graduate of Mormon Trail High school. After graduation, Connie worked in her career as a cosmetologist for over 40 years in Iowa and Minnesota.

During Connie’s career she befriended and developed several personal relationships with her clients and their families. Connie was a lover of cats and nature. She enjoyed the outdoors, the sun, and beaches. She was an avid gardener and was passionate about her plants, flowers, and her garden.

Over the years, Connie and Dennis enjoyed traveling and attending several concerts together. She was always looking forward to another adventure.

Connie loved baking and cooking new recipes. Her homemade hot cocoa, chicken noodle and vegetable soups were a family favorite.

Connie enjoyed music and the arts. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, while creating memories together. She will be remembered for her smile and passion for life and the love in her heart for those beloved family and friends.

Connie is survived by her husband, Dennis; her special cat, Nelly; stepdaughter, Jennifer Hahn (Randy); and grandchildren, Dylan and Alyssa Sellner. She is also survived by her sisters, Kathy (Ron) Cline and Julie Eldridge.

Connie adored her nieces, Emily Peterson (Brian), and Christi Freiburger; nephew, Adam Cline (Nichole); and also loved many cousins, great nieces, and great nephews.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Marjorie Abel.

Connie was loved by so many in her life. She had many wonderful stories and memories that will stay with us forever.
