Connie Sue (Reynolds) Brown, age 54, of Pittsfield passed away at her home on Sunday, February 26, 2023.
Born in Pittsfield on April 20, 1968, Connie was a daughter of the late Donna Randolph and Richard Reynolds Sr. She was educated in the local schools and earned her Associates of Arts degree from Berkshire Community College and later her Bachelor of Arts degree from the former North Adams State College (now MCLA). She volunteered at Goodwill Industries in college before earning an internship at Berkshire County Red Cross where she then remained working for over two decades. She began as an administrative assistant and eventually became the Health and Safety Services Coordinator until they closed in 2016. She also worked at the Pittsfield Unemployment office for a short time before retiring in 2017.
Connie loved music and was a creative person who enjoyed all life had to offer. She loved traveling, especially to Jamaica, and was always up for an adventure. She did a lot of arts and crafts, mostly making cards and loved to draw. Connie enjoyed photography, loved nature and plants and loved a good true crime mystery. She was also a great baker, especially her fudge, cheesecakes and cookies.
The most important thing in Connie’s life was her family. She co-parented many of her nephews and nieces and was their “Auntie Mom.”
Connie was predeceased by both her mother and father, as well as her son Daron Reynolds and her sister Tanya Ledbetter.
She is survived by her son and his fiancé, Ricky Reynolds and Tonya Wheeler, and their two daughters Sienna and Savanah of Pittsfield, her daughter Shanell Johnson and her husband SGT. Bradley Johnson and their three children, Brenden, Silas and Aria, her son Daron’s fiancé Shalee Martin of Springfield and their daughter Remi Jade Reynolds, and her daughter Geneva Bollinger of Pittsfield and her two children, Devin Jay and Angel Miguel.
Connie also leaves her siblings-
Richard Reynolds Jr. of Pittsfield and his children, Kevin, James, Jeremy, Crystal (and son Lucas), and Teayanna Reynolds (and her children Alijah, Xander, Joan and Alyssa.
Bessie Reynolds of Pittsfield and her children Robert Reynolds and his wife Constance, Mark Reynolds (and his daughters Nevaeh, Alia, Jaylyn and Desiree), Michael Reynolds and his wife Samantha Chapman (and his children Essence, Michael, Darion and Aerilynn) and Tricia Reynolds (and her daughters Samira and Jaylene).
Candi Rousseau (predeceased by her husband Terry Rousseau) of North Bennington, VT, and their children, Victoria and her husband Seth (and their daughter Naomi), Caleb and his wife Mariah (their daughter Sylvia) and Raelee.
Her late sister Tanya Ledbetter’s daughter Ina Mae Lampro Bailey of CT and her two sons Caden and Sam.
Geneva Ledbetter Maguire and her children Andrew, Moniquia and her husband Pedro (and their children Pedro Jr., Aeyden, Mila and Toneka.
Brother Jessie Reynolds, sister Penny Reynolds and many step-sisters and step-brothers.
