Connie Sue (Bitner) Chriswell, age 69, of Elwood, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 13, 2023, with her loving family by her side. She was born on November 28, 1953 to her parents, Max Bitner and Dorothy (Rogers) Bitner.
Connie graduated from Tipton High School in the Class of 1971. Through the years, she worked in housekeeping for Fairfield Inn in Kokomo as well as Miller’s Merry Manor in Tipton. Connie enjoyed live music, taking trips to Indiana Beach, and camping with her family. Connie was committed to those she loved. She liked staying in and enjoyed the comforts of home.
Those left to carry on Connie’s legacy of love are her children, Lisha Chriswell (Chris Redmon), Rachel (Josh) Hight, Matthew (Jessica) Chriswell, Sean Chriswell; grandkids, Jordan Probst, Bryleigh Probst, Eddie Clark, Emmaleigh Clark, Kaidence Redmon, Andrea Castellano, Samantha Nead, Abegayle Hight, Harile Hight, David Hight, Brayden Hight, Isaiah Irion, Hailey Chriswell, Charles Chriswell; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Robyn Hamilton, Amanda Bitner (Wyatt Hale); as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Max & Dorothy Bitner; companion, Shawn Jarrell; siblings, Nancy Bryant, Timothy Bitner; and father of her children, Charles Chriswell.
