Connie Rae Taylor unexpectedly passed away on November 24, 2021, at the age of 68. Connie was born in Canon City, Colorado to Robert and Madeleene (Boyd) Koefoed.

After raising three sons, Connie was employed as a cashier at Walmart and then at Sonny’s Ace Hardware for many years. She then aided and cared for her father and mother before they moved to assisted living facilities. Those of you who were graced with Connie’s small talk, know just how much she enjoyed sharing her stories and listening to yours. Throughout the years, Connie was frequently seen with her best friend, her mom, at diners or restaurants around town, catching up on the latest gossip and all the Canon City stories. After grabbing coffee or lunch at Mr. Eds, you could often find Connie and Madeleene strolling through the Goodwill or the Salvation Army looking for the next great treasure.

Connie was well known and respected by so many wonderful people. The loss of Connie will mean one less conversation in the aisle at the grocery store for so many people she called friends. She asks that we all just take an extra minute to stop and say hello to others, check in with those we love, and always be kind to each other. She will be missed by many, but if you ever need someone to talk to, she will be listening to your latest tale from her new home in heaven.

She is survived by her sons; Raymond (Stephanie) Koefoed, Richard (Christina) Taylor, and Russell Taylor; a brother; Jack (Mary McKeever) Koefoed; grandchildren, Madeleene Koefoed, Alex & William Taylor, Derek (Aubri) Taylor, Anthony Taylor & Julia Taylor; as well as one great-grandson, Bjorn Gasper. Connie is preceded in death by her parents.
