Connie was born on March 3,1951 in Terre Haute, Indiana, to John William (Bill) and Edith Simmons. Connie is survived by her husband of 42 years, her brother Dr. Tony Simmons of Winston Salem, North Carolina, and her sister Linda Simmons of Terre Haute, as well as her sister-in-law Betsy Case of Sullivan.
Connie was cofounder of Souls for Christ Prison and Jail Ministry. For 39 years she and her husband labored to bring the lost to The Lord. She is survived by two nephews Josh Simmons and Jon Simmons and five grand nieces and nephews (Carter, Brent, Sadie, Lillian, and Andrew Simmons).
