Connie Jo Tackett Pettit, age 70, of Hungry Hollow Road, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.
Born July 16, 1951, in Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Dorothy Williams Tackett. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, James Tackett, Kenny Tackett, and Bobby Tackett, Sr. and one sister, Virgie Pettit.
Her husband of 50 years, Gary Lee Pettit, whom she married October 10, 1970, passed away October 28, 2020; a son, Gary Lee “Bub” Pettit, Jr., on February 18, 2018; and a daughter, Kimberly Renee Pettit Fultz, on July 1, 2016.
She is survived by a daughter, Jodie Lea (Randy) Kidd; a daughter-in-law, Lindsey Barnes Pettit, all of Morehead; one brother, Arlin “Pete” (Diane) Tackett of Cleveland, Ohio; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; two step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Connie was a retired certified nursing assistant (CNA) for more than 20 years at St. Claire Regional Medical Center and a homemaker.
