Connie J. Schmerbauch, 74, of Collinsville, IL, born August 21, 1943 in Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, January 17, 2018.
Connie enjoyed crocheting and making blankets for all her grand and great-grandchildren. She loved animals and was known to feed all the cats and dogs in the neighborhood. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Doris (nee Arbuckle) Burge.
Surviving are her husband, Erwin Schmerbauch of Collinsville, IL; children, James “Scott” Schmerbauch of Troy, IL, Todd Schmerbauch and Chad Schmerbauch both of Collinsville, IL, Becky Robertson of Belleville, IL and Cherie (Dan) Klaus of Troy, IL; grandchildren, Heather (Ryan) Colligan, Crystal Robertson, Amber (Dan) Nasekos, Leslie Klaus, Dustin, Ashley and Cydney Robertson, Katie and Brianna Schmerbauch, Robbie (Colleen) Robertson, Luke Schmerbauch and Alex (Jarrett) Leatherwood; 21 great-grandchildren; brothers, Stephen and Daniel Coffey; sisters, Sheila Tebbe and Faith Hall; dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend to many.
