Connie Fowler, 90, of Southbury passed away Saturday September 5, 2009 at Waterbury Hospital of injuries suffered in a one car accident on August 16, 2009. Connie was the wife of Theodore V. Fowler III who preceded her in death in October 2002.
Mrs. Fowler was born August 12, 1919 in Detroit, MI, daughter of the late Howard and Marion (Cooper) Ladue. Connie was raised in Royal Oak, MI and was a graduate of Mount Holyoke College in MA, where she first met her late husband.
Connie was personal secretary to several Presidents of The World Bank in Washington, D.C. She was fluent in four languages and traveled the world on World Bank business.
Connie was a volunteer and friend to many at the Glebe House in Woodbury. Connie is survived by Marni Most, her husband Art and her daughters Lisa and Lindsey; Ted and Joyce Fowler and their sons Patrick, Jamie and Nick; niece Nancy Ladue, her husband Charles, and children Mary, Malcolm, James, Annie, and nephew Gary Ladue, his wife Diane, and children Andrea, Samantha and Scott Ladue.
