Waterbury – Mr. Confessor Hernandez, age 90, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully Thursday January 14, 2016 in the VITAS Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was the husband of Frances (Kimball) (McCann) Hernandez.
Mr. Hernandez was born March 30, 1925 in Puerto Rico. He was retired after working in manufacturing for many years, was a foster parent and also loved caring for animals.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Hernandez is survived by a son and a daughter in Puerto Rico, and a daughter and son-in-law : Doreen and Andy Kip of Florida, six grandchildren, and four step children. He was predeceased by three step children.
Mr. Hernandez’s family would like to thank the staff of VITAS Hospice and home care for their kindness, compassion and the wonderful care that they provided.
