Concetta Rita “Connie” Sasso, 86, of New Haven passed away peacefully on April 2, 2011 in The Connecticut Hospice with her loving family by her side. She was born in New HavenMay 22, 1924, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Rubano Sasso. She was a graduate of the Hospital of St. Raphael School of Nursing and was a devoted and dedicated nurse at St. Raphael’s Hospital for over 40 years, many of them as Head Nurse on Private 1 and Private 2. She was the loving sister of Raymond M. (Ann) Sasso of Vero Beach, FL. and Frank A. (Constance) Sasso of Hamden. She was predeceased by two brothers, Armand and Albert Sasso. She was the beloved aunt and great aunt to her many nieces and nephews who were blessed to know her special kindness, generosity and humor. Connie cherished her home, family and friends. She loved traveling, the arts and theatre and was a lifelong parishioner of St.
