Concetta “Connie” Marcheggiani, 82 of Carmel, IN, passed away February 10, 2011. She was born on January 27, 1929 to the late Mario and Grace Saggio Crapanzano. She lived and raised her family in New Haven and West Haven, CT before moving to Carmel in 1977. Through the years Connie held various positions of employment, however, her greatest achievement was her dedication and love for her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandson. She was an avid fan of the Butler University Men’s Basketball team. Connie was also a member of the Carmel Lion’s Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Caruso and her husband, Mario of North Haven, CT. Survivors include her husband, Joseph; sons, Joseph and wife Lin Marcheggiani of Kissimmee, FL, Mark and wife Camille Marcheggiani of Wadsworth, OH; daughters, Colette and husband Andrew Anderson and Anita and husband David Cardona all of Meriden, CT; grandchildren, Carla and Grace Anderson, Artemisia and Julian Cardona, Toni Jo and husband Will Mathis, Andria, Francis, and Joseph Marcheggiani, Cassandra and husband Dale Howard, Christina and Lillianne Marcheggiani; two step grandchildren, Brad Cardona, Heather and husband Jeff Papciak and great grandson, Donte Marcheggiani.
