Columbus “Dub” Webster Stephens, 75, of Newark, AR, departed this life on October 2, 2020 at his home in Newark.
He was born in Sulphur Rock on August 9, 1945 to Watson Stephens and Pearl Godair Hawkins. On February 26, 1965 he married Teresa May Clark in Sulphur Rock.
During his working years he did custom vehicle work for Mark Martin Ford and enjoyed working on outboard motors.
Dub is survived by his daughter, Karen Gambill (Gary) of Jonesboro, AR; son, Christopher Stephens (Tressia) of Rainbow City, AL; grandchildren: Tim Hogan II, Jonesboro, AR, Christopher W. (Linley) Stephens, II, Gadsden, AL, Phillip T. (Nikki) Stephens, Oneonta, AL, Thomas H. Gambill, Jonesboro, AR, and Michael B. (Amber) Stephens, Rainbow City, AL. great-grandchildren: Zane Nash Stephens, Oneonta, AL, and Avabella Grace Stephens, Rainbow City, AL; sister, Charleen Morrison of Cave City, and Diane McClurg of Blytheville; brothers, William Hawkins, of Sulphur Rock, and William Stephens of Newport; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Teresa Clark Stephens, a brother, Charles Stephens, and a sister, Phyllis Hobby.
