Collier Miller Jr. was born to the late Elease Miller and Collier Miller Sr. on July 5, 1943. He departed this life on December 1, 2014 at his residence.
He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and united with Union Grove P. B. Church. He attended the Decatur City Schools.
He worked for many years at the State Bond and Warehouse until the closing of the plant.
He was one that never met a stranger. He loved people and enjoyed talking to them. He was a very giving person.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandfather Elder Tom Toney; a brother, James Edward Miller, an uncle the Rev. Aaron Toney; aunt Laura Jackson.
His memory will forever be cherished by a daughter, Lahoma Johnson of Flint, MI; a son, William Douglas of Flint, MI; one brother, Michael Miller; three sisters, Patricia Ann Miller of Huntsville, Beverly McGee (Robert) of Toledo, OH and Mary Bradley (Eugene) of Huntsville, AL; uncle, Roosevelt Toney (Lizzie) of Huntsville; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A special friend Loretta Davis of Decatur, AL.
