Colleen Petersen Mecham
Our loving mother, grandmother and friend, Colleen Petersen Mecham, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2015. She was born on March 17, 1937 in Brigham City, Utah to Leonard and Juanita Davis Petersen. She married Milton LeRoy Mecham on August 16, 1956. They were later divorced.
Colleen graduated from Ogden High School and attended Weber State College. After College she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah; Cheyenne, Wyoming; Phoenix, Arizona; and then back to Roy, Utah.
Colleen was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings.
She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and the Junior League of Ogden.
She was Secretary at South Ogden Jr. High, Medical Billing Specialist, Loan Processor, Real Estate Agent and Sales DAC.cor Specialist at Welbuilt Homes.
Colleen loved being with her family, shopping with her girls, interior design, and the outdoors. She loved attending her children’s and grandchildren’s activities.
She is survived by her children, David (Diane) Mecham; Debbie (Clyde) Birch and Michael (Kelly) Mecham; 8 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jack.
