Saturday, December 3rd, 2022, our beautiful mother, grandmother, and great
grandmother, Colleen Eleanor Lawrence (89) passed away in her Meridian Home. To honor her
Colleen was born in the small town of Fruitland, Idaho at her childhood home on June
11th, 1933. Her parents Theodore and Genevieve Smith were elated with her accomplishments
while attending schools in the Fruitland education system. Many of the accomplishments
included partaking in theater, pep club, and band, all while being a majorette.
She met the love of her life Dan Lawrence of Vale, Oregon in 1951. The 18 year old
lovebirds married the same year on October 5th. Colleen enjoyed the early years of married life
while working at the local M&W market before the couple moved to Boise in 1960. Here,
Colleen continued work at the Idaho First National Bank.
singing songs by the fire on camping trips, and going to all of the kids, grandkids, and great
grandkids sports events.
Colleen’s memory is carried on by her 3 daughters, Tami (Steve), Danna (Scott), Val
(Duncan), 9 grandchildren, Genny (Marce), Heidi (Josh), Beau (Courtney), Mandi (Andy),
Megan (Chris), Wyatt (Brittany), Danielle (Kyle), JoLee, Alie (Ron), 13 great grandchildren, son
in law Jeff, numerous cousins and special friends of the family.
The family would like to thank all of those involved in helping the family and Colleen
during her illness. We cherish all of the times and moments spent with her, knowing she’ll be
looking down upon us. We love you Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma – ASA BASA
