Elois Colleen Lavender Fleck, of Trussville, Alabama passed away on October 21, 2013 after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Lewis Lavender and Ora Underwood Lavender; sister, Ginger Lavender James, and infant sister, Sandra Lewis Lavender all of Roanoke, Virginia. She is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years, William “Bill” Fleck; daughter, Robyn Worthington (Richard), and son, William “Bill” Fleck, Jr. (Jill); granddaughters, Krystle Worthington, Michelle Fleck and Mallory Fleck.

Colleen was born in Roanoke, Virginia where she was a member of Waverly Baptist Church and a faithful member of the choir. She was a graduate of William Fleming High School where she was a member of the Beta Honor Society and, as a senior, was voted prettiest girl in the graduating class. After her marriage, she moved to Birmingham where she lived for many years and was a member of Huffman Baptist Church. In her earlier years, she was an avid bowler winning many personal awards as well as team championships in league play.

Colleen moved to Trussville with her husband after his retirement to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted wife and loved her children and grandchildren beyond measure.
