It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Colin Perry Masterson, cherished son of Joanne and Brian Masterson, beloved brother of Gavin Masterson and Siobhan Masterson and beloved brother-in-law of AJ Buckley and Erik Johnke. Colin left this world to be with Jesus and God our Father on Saturday, April 1, 2017. He also was the loving uncle of Dylan, Olivia and Brian Johnke, nephew of Kathleen Masterson of Sun City Center in Florida and Richard McLoughlin of California. He was the grandson of Patrick and Lily Masterson and Alan and Anne McLoughlin, the nephew of Patricia Masterson, James and Sue Masterson, John and Dorothy Masterson, Theo Masterson, and Alfred and Mary McLoughlin, all now departed.
Colin, our first born, was 65 years old. He was born with brain damage. He was a dishwasher for more than 40 years, the last 29 years at Suntree Country Club in Melbourne, Florida. He is survived also by many cousins, second cousins, and dear friends in the neighborhood and at the Club. Colin has proven to be a source of great pride, great joy, and great love in our family. Over the years, Colin has taught us that we shouldn’t put limitations on ability, especially his. The road we’ve traveled together has been painful at times, mostly for Colin but also for us. It also has had many, many joyful moments. Now we have finished our journey together. We will miss him greatly and will see him in the next life. We offer our thanks for the many acts of kindness, especially to those from Health First Hospice, who were especially kind and committed to Colin during his ordeal.
