Colene was born on August 24, 1924 in Weeping Water, Nebraska to Lawrence Colbert and Constance Fern Philpott Colbert. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nickie Bakarich, with whom she spent 42 years of marriage. She is survived by her son James, wife Alida, granddaughters Kate Bakarich and Kara Bakarich; daughter Nancy Rynearson, grand- daughter Andrea Wild and two great grandson, Cody and Tanner; brother Reg Colbert and his wife Jean and their children Larry, Kevin, Don and Jean; nephew Don Sidle and niece Sharon Word.
