Colena Faye Rigdon, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023 at the age of 86. Colena was born on November 6, 1936 in Depew, Oklahoma to Samuel and Effie (Hendrix) Alexander. After graduating high school she went on to become a barber, which she absolutely loved. She loved it so much she competed in the 1975 Golden Clipper competition in New Orleans and out of 250 contestants, she was the winner. She was so proud of that accomplishment in her life. She married the love her life, Charles Rigdon, in the 1950’s and then again in October of 2011. Colena and Charles loved raising their three children together. She was a very talented woman. She could fix any furniture and reupholster it. She would even stop on the side of the road sometimes and pick up broken chairs to fix them up. Colena had an amazing and close relationship with God. She went to church every Sunday and then when she couldn’t make it to church anymore she started reading her Bible on Sundays and watching church on television. Her family takes solace in knowing that she is in Heaven.

Colena is survived by her loving husband, Charles Rigdon; son, Jeff (Sheri) Rigdon; grandchildren, Barbara Hull, Sabrina Huggins, Little Joe Hull, and Heather Rigdon; eight great grandchildren; sister, June; best friend, Peggy Osborne; along with numerous additional extended family members and friends.

Colena is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Effie (Hendrix) Alexander; daughter, Janet Hull; her son, Charles Gregory Rigdon; and her 16 siblings.
