Colby James Magrum, 65, passed away on July 8, 2023 at his residence. He was born on March 7, 1958, in Lima, to Mark and Gladys (Perine) Magrum. Both parents have preceded him in death.

Colby was a floral design & delivery person for over a decade with a local florist in Lima. He had a variety of hobbies as he was extremely intelligent and he could build, design, or refurbish anything mechanical or electronic. He truly enjoyed tinkering in anything scientifically related. Those who knew and loved him called him the ‘little professor.’ He also adored the quiet moments of fishing days. Shy, introspective and caring, he held everyone to their highest standard. You were a better person for knowing him.

In addition, Colby was an avid lover of literature and majored in Literature in college at OSU in Lima. As a high school student he attended the Catholic seminary in Denver, Colorado, and at one time considered the Priesthood. He was a parishioner of St. Rose in Lima and a devout Catholic. He had a deep and abiding faith, and truly lived it in service to others.

He is survived by two daughters; Ashley Magrum (Canal Winchester) and Kelsey Magrum, (Findlay) a sister; Terry Abdel-Nabi (Clearwater, Florida) and an aunt, Marianne Perine (Buckeye Lake). In addition to his parents, Colby was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Magrum, brother, Steven Magrum and sister Margie Magrum.
