James (Jim) Rice passed away on September 28,2014 at home after a long battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his wife, Jean McClenahan Rice, of 57 years, son, James (Trip) W. Rice III and wife, Adrienne, of Clifton, Virginia and daughter, Rebecca Rice Johnson and husband, Joe, of Ashburn, Virginia.
Jim attended East High in Memphis, Tennessee and continued his education at the University of Mississippi where he was a proud life long Rebel and Sigma Chi.
For the past 12 years Jim was a resident of Sandestin in Destin, Florida where he was an active participant in the homeowners association and community affairs. He was also a founder of the Ole Miss Rebel club of Destin, Florida.
