Cmsgt. Rex M. Doll, Retired, 64, of St. Jacob, IL, born December 29, 1953 in Santa Maria, CA and passed away on January 7, 2018 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.
Rex was a member of St. Jacob United Church of Christ, St. Jacob, IL. He served 27 prestigious years in the United States Air Force, retiring as Chief Master Sergeant in 1999. Rex was co-owner of CW Equestrian Center in Mascoutah, IL. He was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association and American Legion Post 665 St. Jacob, IL. Rex was the man to get the job done and well respected for that. Truly a family man that always put his family first in his life. Even though he was very ill, he kept pushing himself to truly “live” his life. His smile and humor will be truly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. and Katherine L. (nee Brown) Doll.
Surviving are his wife, Dianne (nee Mazur) Doll of St. Jacob, IL; children, Eric R. Doll of New Baden, IL and Crystal (Michael) Welsch of Mascoutah, IL; grandchildren, Cailyn and Eathin Doll, Brennen, Bryce, Brandt and Alaina Welsch; sisters Judy Adams and Shirley Scales.
