Clyde Wheat Jr., 78, of O’Fallon, Ill., born May 23, 1927 in E. St. Louis, Il., died Friday, April 21, 2006 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL. Mr. Wheat was a self-employed auto mechanic and operator of several service stations throughout the area.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Clyde Brown Sr. and Sallie, nee Horner, Wheat, 1st wife Gladys, nee Dover, Wheat, 2nd wife Margie, nee Stephenson, Wheat, 2 infant children: Helen and Allen, 2 grandchildren: Ashley and Michael Wheat, brothers Cecil, Jimmy, Harvey, Johnny and Ray Wheat and a sister Eunice Blevins.
Clyde is survived by 4 children: Carl & Wilma Wheat of Cleveland, TX, Clyde & Karen Wheat III of Belleville, Ill., Margie Wheat of Belleville, Ill., Mary & D.A.Grant of O’Fallon, Ill., 2 sisters: Eunice & Ted Gonstal of Troy, Ill., Betty & Ed Wallace of Hillsboro, Ill., 5 grandchildren: Kim Wheat, Angelina Wheat, Cathy Davis, Samantha Narez & David Grant, 5 great grandchildren: Britney Wheat, Ashley Hines, Steven Leible, Nikki Bovee & Summer Narez and 5 great great grandchildren: Damian, Tyler, Karley, Steve & Tiffany.
