Life’s Journey Clyde Scoggins Clyde Scoggins was born on August 6, 1926, in Nashville, Arkansas to his parents, Ernest K. Scoggins and Eliza Haislip Scoggins. He was the fourth child born in the family. He was raised surrounded by his brothers, R.B., R.C., Calvin, Fred, Billie, Jimmy, Willie and his sisters, Jerlene, Mae and Charlene. Clyde was an industrious young man, who didn’t mind doing odd jobs for neighbors to earn money. The family relocated to Denver, Colorado and Clyde completed his early education by graduating from Manual High School in 1943. In 1945, he enlisted in the United States Army. While serving his country, Clyde was awarded a Victory Medal. He served with honor and distinction and was honorably discharged. On April 28, 1986, Clyde united in holy matrimony to the former Susan Edwards in Denver, Colorado.
