Clyde Mack Jr., affectionately known to family and friends as “CJ,”  a resident of the Gainestown community, made a peaceful transition on Sept. 15, 2022 while at Whitfield Regional Hospital in Demopolis. CJ was born May 3, 1960 to Eartha Davis Mack and Clyde Mack Sr. A faithful member of the Antioch AME Church, he served on the Trustee Board and was a member of the Male Chorus. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, singing and spending time with family and friends. CJ was a member of the Coon Hunters, where he served as a committee member and looked forward to the yearly event. He was the life of the party with his jokes and never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eartha and Clyde Mack Sr.; his wife, Elizabeth Mack; and sister, Carolyn Ann Mack.

CJ leaves to cherish his precious memories his daughters, Taneisha Gates of Grove Hill, Erica Pritchett of Jackson and Sheddret Robinson of Fulton; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Aquantis and Aterrion Cheeseboro of Grove Hill, Amber Pritchett of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Kelsey and Kaylex Pritchett of Monroeville; brothers, Curtis Davis, Kenneth Mack, James (Linda) Mack, Calvin (Doris) Mack, Charles Mack, Darrell Mack and Sterling Mack; and one sister, Jo (Robert) Cooper; devoted mother-in-law, Rosie Pritchett; four sisters-in-law, Ardell (John) Hunt, Alice (Amos) Jackson, Carolyn Pritchett and Debra Williams; with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including Edmond Gaines, Larry Williams, Qurrio Jones, Pete Gwinn, Don Fox and John David Hunt; and a truly devoted and special friend, Janie Simon.
