Clyde William “Bill†Dodson, 66, of 505 Tanglewood Dr., Martinsville, VA died Friday, March 19, 2010 in Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC. Born February 13, 1944 in Fieldale, VA, Mr. Dodson was a son of the late Clyde Percy “Doonie†Dodson and Mary Virginia Bralley Dodson. He was also preceded in death by a nephew Allen Barnes. Mr. Dodson was the husband of 34 years of Amy Bowman Dodson who survives. Mr. Dodson was a 1963 graduate of Fieldale High School was a member of Fieldale United Methodist Church. He was retired after 35 years of service from DuPont as a dowtherm operator. In addition to his wife of the residence, he is survived by a daughter, Brittany R. Dodson of Martinsville; two sons and daughter-in-law, Mark W. Dodson and Chad D. Dodson and wife, Teresa B. Dodson all of Bassett; a sister, Peggy Ann Prillaman of Fieldale and a brother, David Michael “Mike†Dodson and wife, Debbie W. Dodson of Martinsville; a granddaughter, Crystal M. Dodson and two nephews, Darrell Barnes of Eden, NC and Andy Barnes of Martinsville.
