On Monday, June 1, 2015, Clotilde N. Vargas passed away peacefully at her home with Noel E. Vargas Sr., her loving husband of 65 years, at her side. She was born on July 18, 1929, and was a life long resident of New Orleans, La. Clotilde attended Immaculate Conception High School in New Orleans where she established her long-lasting devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. She was a devoted wife, mother, and proud grandmother. For all who met her and knew her, she will be remembered for her graciousness and kindness. She was predeceased in death by: her daughter, Claudette Marie Vargas; her son, Edward R. Vargas; and her brother, Albert Narvaez, Sr. Clotilde is survived by her sons Noel E. Vargas, Jr. (Marion) and Eric S. Vargas (Beth); her beloved three grandchildren, Matthews F. Vargas, Alexander S. Vargas, and Noel E. Vargas II; and her sister, Frances Penton (Gerald).
