Clorese Lattenmaier Stewart, 83, of Boise, passed away at home on November 27, 2010 following a three year battle with cancer. Clorese was born September 1, 1927 in Boise, Idaho, the only daughter of Phillip and Jessie Fogerson Lattenmaier. She will be remembered for her strength and determination to succeed at everything she did. After the second grade until she entered Boise High School as a sophomore she went to a different school nearly every year including Garfield in Boise, Meridian, Grangeville, Fenn, Cottonwood, Moscow, Victory and freshman at Meridian High School. She graduated from Boise High School in 1945. She then entered the U.S. Army Cadet Nurse Training Corps at St. Luke’s Hospital in Boise. She graduated in June 1948.
In March 1948 she met Truman Stewart, after a short courtship they were married in Boise on September 12, 1948.
Clorese continued working in the New Born Nursery at St. Luke’s for the next two years. She then went to work for Dr. Max Bell until her husband was transferred to Twin Falls, Idaho in 1956. While there she worked in the Twin Falls Clinic. When her husband was transferred back to Boise she went to work for Dr.
About four years after her husband retired in 1984 Clorese retired so that they could travel and do volunteer work.
She loved to travel and cook and share her many recipes with friends, she was always busy doing handwork, knitting, crocheting or reading.
Survivors include her husband Truman, six nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents.
