Clinton “Clint” R. Whittington, 72, of Wakefield, VA passed away at home on Sunday, April 21, 2024 with his wife, Karen by his side. Born July 29, 1951, formerly of Prince George, Virginia, he was the son of the late Woodrow and Alice Mildred Ethridge. He was predeceased by a sister Shirley; brother, Dana Ethridge and stepson, Matthew Collier.Clint was a member of Hopewell Moose Lodge, American Legion Post 2 and Waverly Ruritan Club. He worked for many years as a tow truck operator with Sloan’s Towing in Petersburg, VA and for B.P. Short Paving Company. Clint was a huge fan of Nascar racing and had a large collection of racecars.He is survived by his wife Karen Walkup Whittington; son, Christopher; daughters, Melissa and Carrie; sisters, Helen Kay and Annette; brother, David Ethridge; cousins, Ricky E., Aubrey and Edward Mellichampe, James and Wayne Powers; sisters-in-law, Donna Barfield (Milton) and Lee Ann Lanier (Cliff Boys) and numerous friends.
