Clinton Lee (Clint) Alligood, age 35, passed away in peace at his home surrounded by his family who loves him more than words can describe.  Clint grew tired after a long battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig ’s disease) and frontal lobe dementia.  Even though his body was failing, his will and spirit remained strong, inspiring anyone he came in contact with.

Clint was born in Tallahassee, FL, on December 23, 1972.  His parents Walter Lee (Bo) Alligood and Dorothy Ann (Dot) Alligood moved him to Fort Walton Beach, FL, when he was two years old.  Little did he know by the time high school rolled around, he would be a local celebrity.  His senior year at Choctawhatchee High School, Clint and his teammates won the 1991 State Football Championship.  This led him to a football scholarship at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he completed his education and football career with close high school friends (GO MOCS!).  Following college, Clint moved home to Fort Walton Beach to work with his father at B&C Fire Safety in hopes of taking over the family business.

Throughout Clint’s life he formed lifelong friendships with many people in the community, not only because of his good looks… but because of the type of man he was.  Clint was the most genuine, sincere, caring, devoted, determined, strong and loving man any of his family and friends knew.  Most of all he was truly in love with his wife and children.  Clint married his high school sweetheart, Misty Lynne Alligood on March 6th, 1999.  They created two beautiful children, Jaden Lee Alligood (5) and Landon Clinton Alligood (19 months).  Through family and friends Clint’s good heart and memory will be passed on to his children keeping his memory and spirit alive always.

Clint was preceded in death by his grandfathers Thelma Grimes and Walter Lee Alligood.

Clint is survived by his wife Misty Lynne Alligood, daughter Jaden Lee Alligood, and son Landon Clinton Alligood; father Walter Lee (Bo) Alligood Jr.

The Alligood’s want to express their gratitude for the love, care and support of family, friends and the community.
