Clifton Wombles, March 18, 1937 – April 18, 2022Riverview, Michigan – Clifton Wombles, age 85, passed away on April 18,2022. He was born in Baughman County, Kentucky on March 18, 1937 to thelate Charles Wombles and Haley Wombles. He is survived by his loving wife of64 years, Doris Wombles. They met as teenagers and enjoyed a wonderful lifetogether raising children and grandchildren and enjoying the farm where theylived most of their life. He lived for the Lord and his family and that was themost important thing to him and what gave him his greatest joy.Cliff was a proud father and a personal hero to his five children, Sherry (Ken),Charlotte (Ron), Clifton Ray (Christine), Kandi, and Randy. He is survived by10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, two brothersGordon Wombles and Lonnie Wombles, sister Lorraine Napier, nieces andnephews who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his fatherCharles and mother Haley and sister Loretta Jackson.Cliff was a humble, kind, and generous man who treated everyone like was the Owner Operator for C&D Trucking. He loved meeting new peopleand driving his semi-trucks. He retired at the age of 79 doing a job he met so many wonderful people along the way that he held near and dear tohis loved raising animals; (cows, pigs, chickens, and turkey’s). He lovedmusic, sitting around playing the guitar with his son Randy. He loved to talkand tell stories of his life and experiences and share them with his oldest sonClifton and other family members and friends. He really enjoyed havingspiritual discussions with his daughter Charlotte and his son in law Ron. Hisdaughter Kandi was always making his favorite meals of Gravy and Biscuits,Meatloaf / Mashed potatoes / Ribs.
