Clifford Wesley Perrin was born in San Diego, California on June 4, 1955, to the union of William Wesley Perrin and Florestine Williams. He was the last of eleven children: Joe, Betty, Arthur, Ida, Charles, Sue, Janet, Jackie, Belinda, Marsha, and Clifford. Clifford was lovingly called Wesley by many relatives and friends. Clifford attended Stockton Elementary, Memorial Junior High, and graduated from San Diego High School, Class of 1973. He continued his education at San Diego Community College for two years.
Clifford worked for many years as a Carrier for Emery and later worked for DHL. He often talked about all the wonderful people that he worked with that became like family.
In August 1994, Clifford married the love of his life, Melissa Politte, and this union produced two children, Asia Ja’Lacie and Emon Alyse Perrin. Clifford was a loving and caring husband, and a wonderful father.
Clifford received the Lord of his life many years ago; he would often say it was “the best thing that ever happened” to him. He went on to get baptized at Coronado Beach. His walk with the Lord was very transparent: he would share the love of Christ with all he met.
Clifford served as an usher and greeter at Crosspointe. Every person that walked through the door was greeted with a big smile. He also made sure to greet every child, making them feel comfortable and welcome. Clifford loved the children, and all the children knew and loved “Mr. Cliff.
Clifford was a gentle giant. He was loved and made friends everywhere he went. He loved his family deeply. His two girls were his world. He would often say, “Love God, Love People,” and always lived his life that way. He was very humble, sweet, and spirit filled.
Clifford loved to barbecue, and he loved his football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
On March 14, 2022, Clifford transitioned and joined his parents and his siblings, Joe Williams, Betty McNamee, Arthur Williams, Ida Moore, Charles Williams, Jackie Rayford, Belinda Richardson, Marsha Brown, and Sue Armstrong.
Clifford Wesley Perrin is survived by: his wife, Melissa Perrin; his daughters, Asia and Emon; his sister, Janet McClellan; his best friend and “brother,” Greg Monroe; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him dearly.
