Clifford Rohde, 82, of Pocahontas, passed away on Sunday December 25, 2016 at the Humboldt North Care Center. Clifford Eugene Rohde, the son of George H. and Millie Pearl (Barnett) Rohde, was born on July 12, 1934 in Austin, Minnesota. He had attended country school in Mona, Iowa. On November 18, 1978 Clifford was united in marriage with Marcella M. Weber – Zittritsch in Mona, Iowa. Clifford was self-employed as a scrap iron recycler, retiring in 2010. He enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards and scrapping / salvage work. Clifford is survived by three sisters, Reta Rohde, Rosella Hagelund and Geraldine Wodke; two brothers, Olven and Duane Rohde; step-sons, Bruce (Carol) Zittritsch and Duane (Kelly) Zittritsch all of Algona; six step-sons; three step-daughters; step granddaughters, Donette Zittritsch of Rutland and Dawn (Terry) Myers of Gilmore City; numerous step-grandchildren; step-great grandchildren, Joshlyn Foreman, Ethan Andrews and several others. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one sister; six brothers; and a step-son, Donald Zittritsch.
