Clifford “Cliff” Edgar Price, Jr., 89, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 29, 2017, with Sandy, his loving wife of 20 years, family and friends by his bedside. He was born on November 11, 1927 in Jacksonville, FL, the eldest of seven children, to Clifford E. Price, Sr. and Irene Powell Price.
Cliff’s early years were spent on a small farm in North Jacksonville and graduated from Jackson High School. He honorably served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II and went to Stetson and Clemson Universities on the G.I. Bill. Cliff was a devoted employee and retired after 42 years for Southern Bell Telephone Company.
Cliff’s love of the beauty and blessings of God’s earth gave him great joy in gardening and always having a beautiful yard at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Stephen C. Price; Annie Mae Rhyne Price; sister, Lillian P. James and brother, Richard A. Price.
Cliff is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Duncan Price; daughters, Laura P. Bergmann (Tom), Janet E. Price (Michael Vanderhorst) and Denise Duncan Hall (Jimmy); grandchildren, Micah and Anna Hall; brothers, Warren E. Price (Sandy), James M. Price (Pat) and Robert W. Price (Barbara); sister, Betty P.
