Clifford “Cliff” Duane Campbell, 81, of Great Falls, passed away October 18, 2016 at the Great Falls Clinic Hospital.
Cliff was born February 3, 1935 in Great Falls. He attended local schools, Longfellow and Paris Gibson. In California, he completed his education in Barbering School.
From 1952 until 1955, Cliff was in the Army, stationed for over two years in Germany. He served for a total of eight years, including with the Reserves.
On July 19, 1964, he married Walline Nash in Chinook, Montana. To their union, a son, Clifford W. Campbell, and a daughter, Janette Campbell was born.
In his free time, Cliff enjoyed the outdoors- camping, fishing, hunting. Time spent watching his grandkids play sports and participate in school activities. His grandkids enjoyed his cooking, especially loving his chili, spaghetti and lasagna. He liked to cheer the Griz football team, other college softball and baseball teams on television, as well as watch old Western movies.
He is survived by his loving family, wife, Walline Nash Campbell, of Great Falls; daughter, Janette (Brian) Campbell White, of Great Falls; five grandchildren, Christopher, Cody and Donald Campbell; Aiyana and Dorian White, all of Great Falls; sister, Dorothy (Gene) Hamley, of Santa Rosa, CA; brother-in-law, Jerry Greenly, of Rock Springs, WY; cousins, Herman “Sonny” Collins, of Cocolalla, ID, Irene (Roger) Shimp, of Gilbert, AZ, Charlene Jones, of Anaconda, MT; nieces and nephews, Connie (Donald) Frederick, of Santa Rosa, CA, Hannah Frederick, of Santa Rosa, CA, Beverly (Dave) Upton Hill, of Concord, CA and Gary (Patty) Upton, of Hayward, CA.
He was preceded in death by his son, Clifford “Cliffie” W. Campbell; parents, Ruby Campbell Mayhew and Robert Mayhew; grandparents, Elizabeth and Burton Campbell; and sister, Darlene Upton.
