Clifford B. Watts, 93 of Centralia passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Fireside House of Centralia.
He was born December 15, 1922 in Centralia, son of Bennett Watts and Mame (Sloat) Watts. He married Betty Bierman on December 20, 1947 in Memphis, TN and she survives in Centralia.
In addition to his wife of 68 years, he is also survived by a daughter, Rhonda DeBernardi and husband Charles of Centralia; four grandchildren: Jason Watts, Shawn Watts, Quinn DeBernardi, and Mia DeBernardi; grand dog, Fluffy; six great-grandchildren: Haden, Emma, Sawyer, Brayden, Gavin and Landry; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Ronald Clifford Watts, a brother, Melvin Watts, and two sisters: Theresa Faiss and Hazel Oliver.
Clifford served in the U.S. Army in the 63rd Combat Engineers Battalion during WWII. He worked for Valley Steel for 22 years as a supervisor, he worked at Centralia Cartidge for 18 years, and retired in 1984. He was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 446, V.F.W. Post 2055, NRA and Teamsters.
Clifford enjoyed traveling, history, and reading. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting guns, and working outdoors. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, family, and friends.
