Cleveland P. Huggins III passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on June 6, 2014. Cleve was born on December 31, 1946, in Biloxi, Mississippi and was the son of the late Cleveland P. Huggins Jr. and Dorothy (Ward) Huggins whom he loved dearly. After graduating from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), he was commissioned in the U.S. Army serving in Korea, Germany and the Republic of Vietnam. He retired as Colonel in 1995 from the U.S. National Guard. In civilian life, Cleve was in the insurance industry and operated his own insurance agency in Berlin from 1988 to 2001. Cleve remained in the business and eventually retired in January, 2012.
