Mr. Jarman peacefully passed into eternity on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Huntsville Hospital. He was born on May 21, 1921 in Courtland, Alabama to the late Elsworth Jarman and the late Pearlean Stevenson Warren.
In his early response to Christ, Cleveland became a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Decatur, but later moved his membership to Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of Decatur, and later united with Solomon Temple Church in Athens, Alabama.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Anne Fayetta Oliver Jarman on June 10, 1938, and to that union eleven children were born.
In addition to his wife, Cleveland Sr. was preceded in death by a son, Cleveland E. Jarman, Jr., two daughters, Sharon Rose Jarman Webster and Beverly Renee Jarman Langford and two grandsons, Cedric Hatcher and Cleveland Jarman III.
Mr. Jarman was a former employee of Baggett Transportation, Sharon Trucking and First United Methodist Church of Decatur. Cleveland was a World War Two United States Army Veteran.
Cleveland was fondly called “Mr. Cleve” in his community where he had a spirit of servitude, nurturing, giving of self and a compassionate spirit that prevailed amongst his family and people he adored.
