Cleo Bishop Jr; was born April 6, 1953 to Cleo Bishop and Mary Ellen Parker (Bishop) of Drew, Mississippi. Cleo left Drew as a young man went to Chicago, Illinois in 1974 to live with his brother Lahue Bishop and family. Later he moved to Anchorage, Alaska in 1984 to live with his brother Tommie L. Bishop and family. He worked at Spiegel catalog and Zenith while living in Chicago, Illinois. Cleo managed the shoe shine stand at the Anchorage International Airport for his brother Tommie L. Bishop; he also worked at Taco Bell, Fred Meyers, Carrs Safeway, and Alaska Regional Hospital which was his last place of employment until his illness.
Cleo liked to play cards, dance, shoot pool and he enjoyed sports, especially football, basketball and boxing and he loved his family. He will be missed by, 3 brothers, Tommie L. Bishop of Anchorage, Alaska, Lahue Bishop of Olive Branch, Mississippi, James L. Bishop of Clark Ville, Tennessee and one sister Eddie M. Spivey of Fort Worth, Texas, Nieces Carla Johnson of Fort worth, Texas, Shyreeta Bishop of Altamanto, Florida, nephews Cornelius M. Bishop of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Tommie L. Bishop Jr of Sacramento, California, Talmadge Spivey and Latreize Spivey of Fort worth, Texas, Lahue Bishop Jr of San Antonio, Texas, Andrea Bishop of Elgin, Oklahoma and a host of cousins and close loving friends. His great niece Bryanna Harris of Seattle, Washington and great nephew Tommie Lee Harris of Anchorage, Alaska shared a wonderful and fun time over the holidays with him.
