Salem Clebert O. Dodd, 88, of Valley Street, Salem, died March 23, 2010 at United Hospital Center following a brief illness. He was born in Pine Grove, WV on October 31, 1921, a son of Clarence O. and Martha Richmond Dodd. Clebert graduated from Salem High School, then Salem College with a degree in chemistry. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII as a radio operator and instructor. On August 8, 1941, he was united in marriage to Helen Casey Dodd who preceded him in death in 2006. They were the parents of one son, Thomas E. Dodd and wife Anita of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren, T. Scott Dodd , his wife Jaime and son Henry of New York City; Stacy Williams, her husband Bill and daughterElla of Columbus, OH; Jonathan Dodd of Harbin, China and Matthew Dodd of Beaver Falls, PA. Also surviving are two brothers, William R. Dodd and Robert L. Dodd both of Bridgeport, WV and a sister, Mary Ling of Elyria, OH. His brother Paul N. Dodd preceded him in death. Clebert retired from Consolidated Gas Co.
