Claudia Sylvia.Young, 77, formerly of Fountain Hill, passed away on Friday January 19, 2018 at Valley Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Coopersburg. She was the loving wife of the late Robert T. Young, Sr., who passed away on June 5th, 2009. Born in Roanne, France, and moved to Fountain Hill at age 12, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Stephanie (Sexhaur) Gigon. Claudia worked for Allentown State Hospital as the Chaplains secretary for 5 years. She was also a seamstress for Panzell, Inc., and later worked independently cleaning various clubs in the area. Claudia enjoyed reading, poetry, bowling, and her love for cats. She was also former members of the Fountain Hill Republican and Democratic Club. Mostly she will be known for her loving, caring disposition and her appreciation for all things beautiful that many of us take for granted on a daily basis.
Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her son Robert T. Young, Jr. and his companion Kimberly Althouse-Brinker of Lower Saucon Township. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
