On February 26, 2022, Claudette Marie Smith, age 65, passed away surrounded by family at Trinity Regional Medical Center.
Claudette was a lifelong caregiver. Over the years, she cared for countless people in their home and at local facilities. She was a mentor to many, always displaying her gift of compassion and loving care.
She spread her kindness community wide and spent many days baking for benefits, fundraisers, and families in need. Claudette was a proud member of the Wa Tan Ye, VFW Auxiliary, and St.
Claudette had a tireless dedication to her family, she provided love and support in her words and in how she lived her life. She didn’t know a stranger and had a beautiful vest for life.
She is greatly missed by her husband, Richard Smith. Children Crystal (Frank) Sousa, Cory (Keely) Sanden, Amanda (Steve) McClain and Regina Rhea.
Great Grandchildren Everett Larson, Kinzey McClain, Wyatt McClain and Zoey Smith.

Claudette is proceeded in death by her parents, Albert and Dorothy Pickett and Herb and LaVonne Langenwalter, brother David Pickett, sister Deb (Jim) Girard, sister-in-law Lori Pickett, and son Richard Jr.
