Claude Edward Hampton was born November 2, 1951 in Lawrence County to the late Beotis and Luzaner Hampton. He departed this life on May 23, 2015 at his residence. One brother, Willie B. Yarbrough (Pee Wee) preceded him in death.
Claude leaves behind three children: one daughter, Tara “Boo” Byrd of Decatur, AL; two sons, Shannon Foster of Hillsboro, AL and Claude “Mac” (LeToya) Hampton of Decatur, AL; six grandchildren, Macary “Mickey” Humphrey, Mackenzi “Minnie” Byrd, Mackia “Daisy” Byrd, Devin “Miss Dee” Young, Jordan Pettway, Taylor “Madear” Hampton; four sisters, Lucy Mae Stewart of Chattanooga, TN, Susie (Jasper) Rice, Queenester Hampton and Ann Hampton all of Decatur, AL; five brothers, James Otis Hampton of Hillsboro, AL, Matthew (Faye) Hampton of Fairbanks, AK, Bruce (Tina) Hampton of Decatur, AL, Rufus (Faye) Hampton of Decatur, AL and Leonard (Kathy) Hampton of Hillsboro, AL; one aunt, Lucy Brown of Cleveland, OH and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
