Lt. Colonel (ret.) Claude G. Jacobs 87, of Kansas City, Kansas formerly of Boerne, Texas died on January 1, 2017. Jake was born in Kansas City, KS. to Claude G. Jacobs, Sr. and Anna (Peterson) Jacobs. Jake graduated from Wyandotte High School, Class of 1948 and received his degree in Optometry from Pennsylvania State School of Optometry in 1953.Jake enjoyed a career in the U.S. Army at various installations eventually retiring to Boerne. He was active in Lions Club and was a 4th degree in the Knights of Columbus.Jake was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Julie (Davis) Jacobs, and brother-in-law Tom Davis.Jake leaves his children, Mark Jacobs and wife Jessica of Wichita, Ks., Claudia Jacobs and husband Joseph E. Wise, III, K.C.K. and Julie Jacobs Gonzales and husband Paul of Dodge City, Ks. Grandchildren Casey McDonald and Amanda Jacobs of Wichita, Jennifer Conejo and husband Joe of K.C.K., Kiel Beardshear of K.C. Mo., Catherine Traugott and husband Lucas of Dodge City, Ks. Great-grandsons Jaxen Conejo, Jamison Conejo, great-granddaughter Ambrielle Traugott, and nephew, Michael Davis.
