C. Allen Ledbetter age 74, A loving husband, father, grandfather, great -grandfather and friend, departed this life on October 1st, 2015. Allen was born in Allgood, AL. and was a lifelong resident of Eight Mile, AL.
Preceeded in death by his parents, Claude A (Ada) Ledbetter, three brothers Arthur, Dan, and Marvin Ledbetter, a grandson Ryan Neslony, and his faithful companion “Gus”. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Mary McNutt Ledbetter, one son Randy Ledbetter, three daughters Rhonda (Michael) Templeton, Robin (Ray) Neslony, Regina (Chris) Coaker, one sister Bertie Burt, five grandchildren Kayla (Chop), Constance (Billy), Kristie (Patrick), Josh (Lauren), Raegan, Olivia, five great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and other devoted relatives and friends.
Allen was employed by Scott/Sappi Paper Mill and was also a member of the BoilerMakers Local 112 and Maintenance Local 1421 and Sheet Metals Local 50 where he served as president of the board. He retired after 28 years of service. He loved spending time with his family, planting and tending to his garden, and hanging out with his river rat friends at the camp.
