Clarissa Rivera went to be with our Lord on December 19, 2021.

Clarissa was more than just a mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, she was a light that burned bright, and loved to help others shine.  Her compassion and understanding helped guide others when they felt lost, and she always was there to lend her shoulder for you to cry on or even just an ear to listen if that is what was needed.  Family was the most important thing to Clarissa, and she always wanted to ensure everyone was happy.  She was a stay-at-home mom, and she enjoyed cooking for her family whenever she was able.  Her son carries her compassion for others and her daughter carries her love for animals.  They both share her humor and the light and love that she was able to bring into the world, and we know they will make her proud by shining a beacon of light guiding others to our Lord.

Clarissa enjoyed all genres of music, but a forever rocker at heart, and would always sing along even if she didn’t know the words to a beloved song.  Most of the time she would make up her own songs that would become something her mother, siblings, kids, nephew, and niece would continue to sing.  Her love, energy, humor, strength, protectiveness, compassion, curiosity, and beautiful soul will forever be missed.

She is survived by her spouse of 12.5 years Javier Rivera, mother Clara Mares, father Tacho Roybal, son David Rubio Jr., daughter Alyssa Rivera, sisters: Nanette Armijo / Angelo Sisneros (sister’s spouse) and Tasha Roybal, brother Christopher Roybal / Alexander Shaver (brother’s spouse), grandmother Lydia Mares, nephew Isaiah Garcia, niece Zoey Garcia, and several aunties, uncles, and cousins.
