She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Belton and after her husband died in 1999, she moved her membership to Miller Heights Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Melburn Deaver and by a daughter, Lynn Jerline Barnes. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, TW Smith, James Smith, and Odell Smith.
She is survived by two daughters, Beth Deaver of Holland, and Veta Young and her husband Stephen Young of Brownwood; two grandchildren, Mark Deaver Neeley of Temple and Cristina Neeley of Grosvenor; three great grandchildren, Kelyn Green of Denton, and Kensie White and her husband Austin of Las Vegas, and Kaden Massey of Belton. She is also survived by a sister Eloise Wilson of Belton.
When her husband was hurt by a railroad accident at work, Clarine attended Beauty School and became a beautician to help with family expenses. She was a self-taught seamstress and made three daughters and herself clothes from dresses to evening gowns and costumes. Beside loving to sew, she took painting lessons and ceramics lessons and owned her own kiln. She was active in PTA throughout the years her girls were in school.
Mom and Dad were members of the Good Sams RV Travel Club and the First Baptist Church Seniors Trips. Our home was always full of friends and family. From Mom giving family members permanents and hair colors to family parties and friends playing dominoes and games of 42. Mom and Daddy really loved each other and being active Christians in the Baptist Church. We grew up seeing our parents kneel at bed every night for their prayers.
