He was preceded in death by his son, Clarence Tallent, JR; parents, Ralph James Tallent and Gertrude Mae Tallent; and a brother, Eldon Tallent. He is survived by his wife, Cathryn Sue Chambers Tallent; daughter, Lisa Tallent of Clayton; step daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Andy Hewitt of Dalton, Delanie Huebner of Florida; step sons, Jason Huebner of Florida, Daniel Huebner of Florida; brother and sister-in-law, Carol and Gail Tallent of Franklin, NC; sister, Mildred Katherine Rice of Franklin, NC; 12 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
